Anna Vasof is an architect, media, and time-based artist. Since 2004 her videos and short films have been presented at numerous international festivals, where several have received distinctions. She currently designs and builds innovative mechanisms for producing critical videos, films, actions, and installations. Her work is accessible in a universal way through its wit and mischief and is grounded in genuine experimentation with the core mechanisms of motion and time-based art. She approaches each question from its foundations, reinventing basic premises from her own perspective. Her works with everyday objects address social paradoxes and invite viewers to see the familiar world from a different perspective.
