Nika Oblak & Primož Novak, And Now For Something Completely Different 20

CIRCULAR CYCLE, 2025
Video Installation
Circular Cycle transforms the monitor into a continuous, perpetuum mobile–like circular mechanism. Two protagonists pedal their bicycles in a perpetual loop along the monitor’s curved edge, suggesting that the media space mirrors the conditions of physical space while simultaneously perfecting them through technology. Physical effort appears to defy gravity. Yet the looping motion also echoes the visual language of digital interfaces — the spinning icon of perpetual loading — blurring the line between human endurance and the seamless flow of the virtual.
